The Belgian Federation of Bus and Coach Operators was founded in 1928 by a Royal Association of Professionals recognised by the Council of State. It is the only federal trade association for public road passenger transport and provides its members with personalised services via provincial departments and an extensive national secretariat.

As a recognised trade association, the FBAA represents the interests of companies providing professional passenger transport services by coach and bus. It does so at all levels of decision-making and consultation in Belgium and Europe, while focusing on passenger safety and trust and aiming to create a favourable socioeconomic business environment for its members.

The FBAA and its members are fully-fledged partners with the authorities and public bus transport operators in Flanders and Wallonia. They deploy their staff, vehicle fleets and operational expertise to meet the mobility needs of the public.

As the consultation and development platform for scheduled and contracted coach transport services, the FBAA works to bolster and enhance the professional sectoral identity of its members active in the leisure travel sector.

The FBAA and its members are the preferred transporters of special education pupils under contracts managed by the relevant regional authorities in charge of mobility and education.
